Martinborough Pinot Noir

Martinborough sits in the Wairarapa, at the southern tip of the North Island, and produces some of New Zealand's most distinctive Pinot Noir despite its small size. Free-draining, gravelly soils and a dry, wind-exposed climate give the wines real structure, often described as firmer and more savoury than fruit-forward styles found further south. The region was one of the first in New Zealand to take Pinot Noir seriously, and many of its original producers remain influential today.
