Torres Sangre de Toro Original Garnacha is a generous, Garnacha-led red from Catalunya, blending ripe strawberry and dark cherry flavours with a peppery lift and gentle oak warmth. The palate is firm yet approachable, with fine acidity keeping the sun-ripened fruit lively. First produced in 1954, Sangre de Toro remains a dependable taste of Spanish conviviality, equally comfortable beside meat paella, a slow-cooked stew or a plate of medium-aged cheese. Serve it lightly cool and let the bull loose.

What the winery says:

The 2023 is made from Mediterranean varieties, primarily Garnacha and Cariñena. Harvest began on 31 August, followed by one week of skin contact and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel at 24°C. Twenty percent of the wine matured for six months in used oak, comprising French and Eastern European barrels. The finished wine is 13.5% alcohol, certified vegan, and shows dark cherry colour, strawberry aromas, black pepper spice and a warm, firm palate with fine acidity.
