Tilia Malbec 2023
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Tilia Malbec brings Mendoza’s signature red grape into exactly the sort of shape that makes it easy to keep pouring. Blackberry, ripe plum and violet meet touches of cocoa, spice and vanilla, with round, silky tannins keeping the palate generous without becoming heavy. Tilia is a Catena family winery and was the first Argentine wine to carry the Bodegas de Argentina Certified Sustainable Seal, so there is a little more behind the label than straightforward value. Rich enough for steak or slow-cooked beef, smooth enough for an easy midweek glass - this is a very dependable route into Argentine Malbec.
What the winery says:
Made entirely from Malbec grown in Mendoza’s eastern and central valleys. The wine is fermented in stainless steel before spending six months in French oak, bringing subtle chocolate and vanilla notes to its vibrant fruit. Bright red with violet hues, it opens with fresh violets and rich plum before flowing into a structured, persistent palate with soft, rounded tannins.
