93/100 Cameron Douglas (2024)
18.5/20 Joelle Thomson (2024)
Soho McQueen Pinot Noir is a polished Central Otago Pinot with dark cherry and ripe boysenberry at the centre, edged by thyme, cedar, cocoa and vanilla. Fruit comes from Bendigo Terraces and Queensberry, two contrasting parts of the Cromwell Basin that bring together generous fruit and savoury detail. The 2024 is silky and concentrated rather than heavy, with fine tannins, bright acidity and a long, layered finish. It is a smart choice for anyone after a generous, expressive Otago Pinot that still keeps its shape. Try it with mushroom risotto, roast duck or a relaxed dinner with good company.
What the winery says:
SOHO sources selected parcels from vineyards on the Bendigo Terraces and at Queensberry in Central Otago. The wine shows dark cherry and ripe boysenberry alongside cedar, thyme, cocoa and vanilla, with a layered, complex palate and a cool-climate character. The wider Central Otago vineyard selection is designed to combine the warmer, elevated Bendigo sites with the cooler conditions of Queensberry, bringing both power and elegance to the finished Pinot Noir.
