Mesta Organic Rose 2025

Mesta Organic Rosé is a bright, lively Spanish Tempranillo rosé from the organically farmed vineyards of Bodegas Fontana in Uclés. Wild strawberry leads the way, joined by crushed herbs and a fresh citrus snap, while a gentle touch of residual sweetness is kept firmly in check by crisp acidity. Light, refreshing and nicely savoury, it has enough flavour to handle food without losing its easygoing charm. This is a smart option for warm afternoons, tapas, grilled prawns or a table full of salty snacks.

What the winery says:

The 2025 is made from 100% Tempranillo grown in certified organic estate vineyards in Uclés, with vines around 31 years old on loamy clay soils. The fruit is picked early in the morning, chilled at the winery and given 6 to 8 hours of skin contact before the juice is run off and fermented in stainless steel. Malolactic fermentation is prevented to retain freshness, followed by 4 to 6 months of ageing in stainless steel. The finished wine shows wild strawberry, crushed herbs and citrus, with a subtle touch of residual sweetness and a lively, balanced finish.
