Malana Primitivo di Manduria 2023
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml | $4.99 Delivery
Malana Primitivo di Manduria Rich, ripe and unapologetically generous, this southern Italian Primitivo brings blackberry, black cherry and plum together with chocolate, vanilla and a gentle lick of oak. The palate is full and velvety, with smooth tannins and enough warmth to make it particularly appealing when the weather turns cooler. Made in Puglia from 100% Primitivo, it is a satisfying choice for anyone who likes their reds plush, dark-fruited and easy to settle into. Try it with slow-cooked lamb, beef ragù or a properly cheesy baked pasta.
What the winery says:
The 2023 Malana is made from 100% Primitivo grown around Manduria in Puglia and sits at 14% alcohol. The wine shows ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry and plum characters, with oak, chocolate and vanilla adding richness around the fruit and soft tannins. Malana is produced by Cantolio, a Manduria cooperative established in the early 1960s that now brings together more than 700 growers. Cantolio has used electricity from renewable sources for its production since 2008.
