Luna Estate Pinot Noir is a beautifully expressive Martinborough Pinot Noir that brings together generous dark fruit, elegant structure and the distinctive savoury character of the region. The 2024 vintage is bursting with ripe black cherry, plum and boysenberry, complemented by delicate violet florals, earthy undertones and a touch of warming spice. The palate is juicy and wonderfully supple, with silky tannins, refreshing acidity and subtle French oak adding depth without overpowering the fruit. Smooth, approachable and full of character, it offers plenty of immediate drinking pleasure while having the structure to develop further in the cellar. An excellent match for roast duck, mushroom risotto, lamb or grilled salmon.

The 2024 Pinot Noir was crafted entirely from estate-grown fruit sourced from Luna's Eclipse and Blue Rock vineyards in Martinborough. Despite a challenging growing season marked by spring frosts and difficult flowering conditions, a hot, dry summer helped the small crop ripen beautifully, developing concentrated flavours. The grapes were gently crushed and destemmed before fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks using natural or selected yeasts. Following fermentation, the wine was matured in French oak barrels for approximately 10 months before blending and bottling. Deep ruby in colour, it offers inviting dark cherry, black plum and violet aromas, with subtle earthy notes and gentle spice. The palate is generous and fruit-driven, with supple tannins, lively freshness and a long, satisfying finish.
