Leveret IQ Brut Méthode Traditionnelle is a beautifully crafted Hawke's Bay sparkling wine with all the charm and complexity of traditional-method bubbles. Made from a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, it brings together fresh citrus, ripe peach and crisp apple with delicious notes of toasted brioche, roasted nuts and a touch of marzipan. The palate is lively and creamy, with fine, persistent bubbles, refreshing acidity and a long, gently savoury finish. Extended ageing on lees adds richness and depth without sacrificing freshness. A fantastic choice for celebrations, leisurely brunches or simply enjoying a glass of bubbles, especially alongside fresh oysters, creamy cheeses or seafood.

What the winery says:

Part of Leveret's IQ range, short for Improving Quietly, this premium Brut is made predominantly from grapes grown on the free-draining river terraces of Hawke's Bay's Ngaruroro River. Following primary fermentation and malolactic fermentation, the base wines spend approximately 12 months maturing on lees before blending and bottling for secondary fermentation. A minimum of 18 months ageing on yeast lees in bottle develops the wine's characteristic biscuity, nutty complexity and creamy texture. The winery describes aromas of freshly baked bread, nuts and marzipan, supported by citrus and stone fruit, with a fresh, gently effervescent palate and lingering finish.

What the experts say:

Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review, 92/100 (NV)
"A blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier aged on the lees in bottle for at least 18 months. An intriguing blends of tree fruit, peach, nectarine and savoury cashew nut and baguette crust. A soft-textured wine that offers delicious drinking"

Cuisine Magazine, 4.5 Stars (NV)
“A wine of elaborate personality, Leveret IQ opens with candied citrus, toasty and light sulphide aromas. It has good textural interest and depth of flavour, and more of the feel of a table wine with bubbles than a traditional sparkler. Satisfying and complete, it’s a good wine for creamy seafood dishes.”

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, 90/100 (NV)
"It's attractively expressed on the nose showing golden apple, apricot, fresh bread and subtle spice aromas. The palate delivers generous mouthfeel and roundness, well supported by juicy acidity, finishing smooth and creamy."
