Giesen Rose Spritz Light, lively and made with easy-going occasions in mind, this 8% New Zealand Rosé Spritz brings together Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and a splash of Merlot. Passionfruit, lime, strawberry and rose petal sit over a gently sweet, refreshing palate with bright acidity and a fine spritz. Fruit comes from Marlborough and Waipara, giving the wine plenty of freshness and aromatic lift. Serve well chilled for sunny afternoons, casual catch-ups or alongside prosciutto and burrata pizza.

What the winery says:

Giesen selects fruit from Marlborough and Waipara, with Marlborough contributing freshness and lively acidity and Waipara bringing aromatic lift and balance. Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling are fermented separately at cool temperatures, then aged on lees for added texture. A small portion is dealcoholised using spinning cone technology before being blended back with the full-strength wine, while a splash of Merlot adds colour and delicate red-fruit character. The finished wine has 40 g/L residual sugar, 8% alcohol and a light spritz, with passionfruit, lime, floral notes, strawberry and rose petal leading into a silky, lingering finish.
