Falconhead Hawke's Bay Pinot Gris is an aromatic, fruit-filled Pinot Gris from Hawke's Bay, offering inviting aromas of ripe pear, white peach and a gentle touch of ginger spice. The palate is silky and rounded, with juicy orchard fruit, a creamy texture and refreshing acidity keeping everything nicely balanced. Named after the native New Zealand falcons that have helped with natural pest management at the producer's Riverview Vineyard in Hawke's Bay, Falconhead reflects a longstanding connection to the land. The grapes were pressed at the Riverview winery and fermented in stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts to enhance their natural fruit character. The resulting wines were then transferred to the Katikati winery for blending, finishing and bottling. The winery describes ripe pear and white peach aromas with hints of ginger, a silky palate and a lingering off-dry finish.
