92+ POINTS Cam Douglas (2024)
Duck Hunter Stiletto Ranch Rose brings a bright, polished take on Marlborough Pinot Noir, with strawberry, cherry, plum and raspberry flavours lifted by a delicate floral note. Sourced from a single vineyard in the Wairau Valley, it combines a soft, creamy texture with lively acidity and a pleasingly dry finish. There is enough fruit to keep things generous without tipping into sweetness, making this an easy choice for sunny afternoons, seafood lunches or summer salads. Serve it well chilled, though there is no need to turn it into an ice block.
What the winery says:
Made from single-vineyard Wairau Valley Pinot Noir, this soft pink rosé offers aromas of strawberry, cherry and plum alongside floral notes. The palate is creamy and fruit-driven with a dry finish. It has 13.0% alcohol, 4.2 g/L residual sugar and a pH of 3.1, with recommended drinking through 2027. Duck Hunter suggests serving it as an aperitif or alongside seafood and summer salads.
