Decibel Giunta Syrah is a bright, juicy Hawke's Bay Syrah that favours freshness and drinkability over heavyweight muscle. Plum, raspberry and cherry flavours meet rose petal, cola, gentle smoke and a lively flicker of pink peppercorn. Fine tannins and fresh acidity keep everything smooth, energetic and ready for the table. Part of winemaker Daniel Brennan's approachable Giunta range, this is a relaxed New Zealand red with plenty of personality and no need for ceremony. Pour it with chargrilled lamb, burgers, spicy sausages or a platter of bold, mature cheeses.

Dark red in appearance, with black tea leaf and pink rose petal aromatics opening into smoky notes, cherry candy and cola. The palate is generous and easy-drinking, with a smooth mid-palate, subtle pepper character and a bright cherry finish. It is a versatile food wine, with rich and boldly flavoured cheeses an especially good match.
