What the winery says:

Fruit came from certified organic vineyards at Mangatahi Terraces near Maraekakaho and Bridge Pa. The 2022 blend is 56% Pinot Noir, 33% Merlot and 11% Malbec. Each variety was harvested separately in March, cold-soaked for three to five days, then fermented in open-top vessels at cooler temperatures with shorter post-ferment maceration to limit extraction and preserve fruit. The wine was held in stainless steel, bottled at 12.5% alcohol and finished dry with no residual sugar. The winery describes pomegranate, raspberry, Black Doris plum, soft tannins and a hint of spice, and confirms the wine is vegan and certified sustainable.
