Dark Horse Double Down Red Blend

Dark Horse Double Down Red Blend is an unapologetically full-bodied California red built around generous dark fruit. Fig and blueberry jam lead into blackberry, dark chocolate and molasses, with toasted oak adding warmth and shape to the finish. Fruit from Lodi gives it the ripe, concentrated character fans of bold reds are looking for, while the blend remains plush and immediately approachable. What the winery says:

The grapes come from selected vineyards in California's Lodi region and were harvested during the cool morning hours. Individual parcels were kept separate through fermentation before blending. The finished wines were matured in stainless steel tanks with a combination of French and American oak, building complexity, concentrated fruit flavour and a rich mouthfeel.
