Church Road Gwen Hawke's Bay Pinot Gris 2025

Church Road Gwen Hawke's Bay Pinot Gris is grown on the Matapiro Vineyard in the cooler Crownthorpe Terraces, Church Road's most elevated and inland site at around 200 metres above sea level, where wide swings between warm days and cool nights help preserve aromatics and acidity. The wine opens with ripe autumn orchard fruit and honeysuckle, backed by a savoury complexity and subtle minerality that add real depth. Dry and fresh on the palate, it carries exceptional length and finesse, with the mineral drive typical of fruit grown this far inland. While approachable now, it has the structure to reward cellaring for four years or more from vintage.
