Bryterlater Fredrick Pinot Noir 2023
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml | $4.99 Delivery
Bryterlater Fredrick Pinot Noir is a dark-fruited, finely structured North Canterbury Pinot Noir with a deliberately hands-off feel. Fredrick is made from clone 5 fruit, with partial whole bunches and an infusion-led approach helping keep extraction measured and the tannins fine rather than heavy. Bryterlater is the project of sommelier turned winemaker James Graves-Opie, whose wines favour character and texture over polish for polish's sake. This is an appealing choice for Pinot drinkers after something expressive and a little less conventional, with enough savoury structure for roast duck, mushrooms or a good plate of charcuterie.
