Blackenbrook Nelson Rose Juicy strawberry and creamy vanilla lead the way in this bright, playful Pinot Rosé from Nelson. At 12% alcohol it feels light on its feet, with fine structure, good length and a delicate natural spritz adding extra freshness. The fruit comes from vines rooted in Blackenbrook's Moutere clay soils near Tasman Village, with experienced Nelson winemaker Trudy Sheild guiding the 2026 vintage. Fresh, characterful and made for easy enjoyment, it is a natural partner for salmon, charcuterie, summery salads or simply a well-chilled glass in the afternoon sun.
What the winery says:
The 2026 Pinot Rosé comes from Bachtobel clone fruit grown on Moutere clay soils and harvested on 12 March at 21.5 Brix. The grapes spent 10 hours macerating on their skins before gentle pressing, followed by cool fermentation with an aromatic yeast. Fermentation was stopped at 5g/L natural sugar, with lees contact adding texture and retained natural carbon dioxide providing a fine spritz. Blackenbrook describes juicy strawberry and vanilla ice cream flavours supported by fine structure and length. The wine was bottled on 24 July 2026 at 12% alcohol and is vegan friendly, with production accredited by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand.
