Big TED Pinot Noir (BOX WINE) 2023

Big TED Pinot Noir is where Mount Edward has taken proper Central Otago Pinot Noir and given it a very practical new home: a 2-litre cylinder with a tap. The 2023 is soft, supple and fruit-forward, with ripe cherry, plum and red berry flavours joined by a gentle earthy edge and fresh acidity. Made from estate-grown organic fruit, it is an easy-going expression of Pinot with plenty of regional character. The format holds the equivalent of 2.67 bottles and is particularly handy for barbecues, weekends away or simply pouring a glass without committing to the whole bottle.

Mount Edward describes Big TED as certified organic and vegan-friendly Central Otago Pinot Noir packaged in a 2-litre format. The 2023 fruit is estate grown, destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts before ageing in French oak. The wine is designed around soft, supple red fruit character, with cherry and plum at its core. Its bag-in-box style packaging keeps air away from the remaining wine after pouring and uses substantially less packaging than the equivalent volume in glass bottles.
