Auntsfield Single Vineyard Chardonnay is rich and layered Marlborough Chardonnay with a firm mineral backbone keeping everything beautifully focused. Peach skin, mandarin and lemon tart meet brioche, apricot nougat and roasted hazelnut, with ripe stone fruit flowing through a generous, finely textured palate. The fruit comes entirely from Auntsfield’s historic Southern Valleys estate, where ancient greywacke rock and loess-clay soils bring depth and structure to the wine. Full-flavoured without becoming heavy, this is ready for roast chicken, creamy seafood, pork or a mushroom-heavy pasta.

What the winery says:

The fruit is hand-picked from Auntsfield’s estate vineyard and whole-bunch pressed before indigenous fermentation in French oak barrels. Maturation on yeast lees allows the oak to integrate gradually, building texture and savoury complexity while preserving the wine’s mineral character. Peach skin, mandarin peel and lemon tart are layered with brioche and apricot nougat, followed by ripe peach, dried apricot, roasted hazelnut and fig. Generous stone fruit and underlying minerality carry the wine through a seamless, persistent finish.
