Sourced from Marlborough’s Southern Valleys, it is an elegant red with enough structure for the dinner table but enough charm to pour without ceremony. A very handy match for roast lamb, venison or earthy mushroom dishes.

Ara selects high quality parcels of Pinot Noir from Marlborough’s Southern Valleys and handles them in small batches. A hands-off approach is used to preserve colour and express the fruit’s regional character, with cold soaking before fermentation followed by maturation in a combination of new and seasoned hogsheads to build complexity. The finished wine combines dark berry and cherry fruit with subtle spice, fine tannins and balanced acidity. Ara also lists the wine as vegan approved.
