Ara Single Estate Pinot Gris brings a generous, polished take on Marlborough Pinot Gris, with lush orchard fruit, fresh pear, a light touch of spice and a softly textured palate held in check by bright acidity. A little natural sweetness adds roundness without weighing things down, while the finish stays poised and persistent. Ara has been making wine in Marlborough since 1999, with vineyards certified under Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand. Serve it well chilled as an aperitif, or alongside fresh pesto pasta or an asparagus, spinach and lemon risotto.

What the winery says:

For the 2025 vintage, Marlborough enjoyed an early, warm start followed by cooler conditions through January and February that helped retain natural acidity. A warm, dry March allowed slow, even ripening. Machine-harvested fruit was gently pressed and cool-fermented in stainless steel to preserve fruit purity. Fermentation was stopped when natural sweetness and acidity reached balance, then the wine was matured on lees for added texture and palate weight before racking, blending and gentle filtration. It finished at 12.42% alcohol with 6 g/L residual sugar and is suitable for vegan and gluten-free diets.
