Made from 100% Nebbiolo using the Michet clone, prized for its small, loosely packed bunches that concentrate colour and extract, this Nebbiolo d'Alba comes from Marchesi di Barolo in the heart of the Langhe. The colour runs ruby toward garnet, with a bouquet of raspberry fruit meeting the more ethereal notes of violet and vanilla. The palate is wide ranging yet harmonious, with graceful tannins that never overreach and a touch of delicate oak in the background. It has the structure for roasted meats, hearty pasta or a spread of cured meats and aged cheese, and will happily hold in the cellar for several years yet. At 14% ABV, it is a classic, well balanced expression of Nebbiolo from one of Piedmont's most established names.

The winery describes the fruit as combining raspberry with violet and vanilla, the palate wide ranging and harmonious, with graceful tannins and delicate woody notes.
