Sebastiani Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Sebastiani Cabernet Sauvignon is a bright, generous Californian red with plenty of easy charm. Strawberry, red cherry and sweet cranberry lead the way, joined by red liquorice, fresh mint and a gentle touch of oak. Merlot softens the Cabernet's edges, giving the wine a smooth, fruit-forward palate that is welcoming rather than overly stern. Sebastiani has been making wine in Sonoma since 1904, and this is a relaxed introduction to its classic California style. Bring it to the barbecue and pour alongside beef burgers, lamb chops or smoky ribs.

What the winery says:

The fruit comes from selected vineyards across California and the final blend is 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Merlot. Following a two-day cold soak, the grapes were crushed and fermented at warm temperatures in stainless steel. The wine was matured with 20% spending six months in French oak barrels and the remaining 80% in stainless steel. The winery describes aromas of strawberry, red liquorice and fresh mint, followed by red cherry, strawberry and sweet cranberry flavours with soft oak nuances.
