TAPI
TAPI was founded by two couples, Gus and Swan Altschwager and Mark and Emma Kenneally, who became close friends while working together in Marlborough and eventually joined forces around a shared goal of raising the standard of winemaking in the region. The name is drawn from the Maori word for the footprint left behind by a rainbow, inspired by the arcs that regularly form over the surrounding mountains after rain has passed through.
The estate is built around certified organic growing and sustainable, low-intervention winemaking, with most of the portfolio now organically certified. The range spans a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, a delicate Rose and a rounded Chardonnay, alongside an Organic Cuvee Brut that brings the same careful, hands-off philosophy to a traditional method sparkling wine.
