Marlborough Wine

Marlborough wine means one thing above all else in New Zealand: Sauvignon Blanc, and this region produces some of the most recognisable versions in the world, zesty and unmistakably ripe with tropical fruit. That said, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is only part of the picture, since the region also turns out excellent Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, along with smaller amounts of Pinot Noir from its cooler pockets. It's the largest wine-growing region in the country by some margin, which shows in the depth of this collection alone. If you're comparing regions, Central Otago leans harder into Pinot Noir, while Hawke's Bay favours richer reds, so Marlborough remains the easiest entry point into New Zealand Wine as a whole.
