Riverland sits along the Murray River in South Australia and produces more wine by volume than any other region in the country, historically supplying the bulk and cask market thanks to hot, reliable growing conditions and irrigation from the river. That reputation is shifting as producers invest in quality and sustainability, with organic viticulture becoming a particular focus given the region's flat, easily managed vineyard sites. The results are approachable, easy-drinking wines across reds, whites, rose, and sparkling, well suited to everyday drinking without excessive cost.
