Pyramid Valley North Canterbury Rose 2024
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Pyramid Valley North Canterbury Rosé takes rosé seriously without making a performance of it. Old-vine Pinot Noir brings ripe strawberry and watermelon, while touches of brioche, spice and stony minerality give the wine considerably more shape than the average summer pink. It is dry and fresh, with a silky texture, fine tannins and a subtle creamy richness from natural fermentation in seasoned oak. Part of Pyramid Valley’s boundary-pushing Colours Collection, this is excellent with salmon, prawn tacos or a well-stocked grazing table - though it is unlikely to wait politely for the food.
What the winery says:
Made from sustainably farmed old-vine Pinot Noir, free from artificial chemicals and fertilisers. The fruit is whole-bunch pressed and naturally fermented in seasoned oak, producing a pale salmon-coloured rosé with a fresh, mineral character. Watermelon, strawberry and brioche lead into a clean, salivating palate, supported by a rich, creamy mouthfeel.
