No. 1 Family Estate Blanc de Blanc Cuvee NV
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
No.1 Family Estate Cuvée No.1 is a refined Marlborough méthode traditionnelle built around Chardonnay, combining bright fruit with the savoury complexity of extended lees ageing. Citrus, stone fruit and red apple are layered with toasted brioche, oatmeal and delicate floral notes, while a fine, persistent bead gives the palate freshness and lift. The style is dry, creamy and elegantly balanced, finishing long without feeling heavy. First released in 1999, it remains the signature wine of this family-owned sparkling specialist. Pour it as an aperitif or serve alongside freshly shucked oysters, smoked salmon blinis or crisp fried seafood.
What the winery says:
The current non-vintage blend comprises 97% Chardonnay and 3% Pinot Noir. Made in a Brut style, it spends more than 20 months ageing on lees to develop its toasty brioche character, fine bead and firm mousse. Citrus and stone fruit flavours provide freshness, leading into a long, elegant finish. The wine contains 12.5% alcohol and can be cellared for 3 to 5 years. It is made by Daniel Le Brun and Lee Dobson.
