Windrush Sauvignon Blanc 2024

Windrush Organic Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant, organically grown Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with generous tropical fruit, bright citrus acidity and more texture than a typical crisp, fruit-driven example. Sourced from two family vineyards near Renwick, it combines the freshness Marlborough is known for with added richness from a small barrel-fermented portion and regular lees stirring. Guava, passionfruit and mango give it immediate appeal, while a subtle saline note keeps the finish lively and refreshing. Enjoy it well chilled with fresh seafood, aromatic Asian dishes, summer salads or creamy goat’s cheese.

Aromas of guava, mango, citrus and passionfruit lead into a luscious palate of tropical fruit and elderflower, balanced by refreshing citrus acidity and a hint of salinity. The grapes came from the family-owned Windrush and Terrace Stone vineyards, located approximately five kilometres apart near Renwick. The fruit was destemmed and pressed, with one hour of skin contact to build flavour complexity. Fermentation took place in 90% stainless steel and 10% barrel, using a combination of inoculated and wild yeasts in the barrel portion. Weekly barrel lees stirring added further richness and texture before the wine was bottled in September 2024.
