Opawa Pinot Noir 2023
Case Buys Only | 12 x 750ml
Opawa Pinot Noir is a bright, silky take on Marlborough Pinot, bringing together dark cherry, redcurrant and ripe plum with rose petals, clove and a gently earthy, savoury edge. Fine tannins and lively acidity give the wine shape without interrupting its easy-going flow, making this a smart option for roast chicken, mushroom dishes or a relaxed glass on its own. Produced by Nautilus Estate using a dedicated Pinot Noir cellar and gravity-flow handling, it delivers plenty of polish while keeping the fruit firmly in charge.
What the winery says:
Fruit from selected Marlborough vineyards is cold soaked before indigenous fermentation, then pressed into French oak barriques for maturation. Minimal handling and gravity flow help preserve the wine’s freshness and detail. Dark cherry, redcurrant and rose petal aromas are layered with clove and savoury spice, leading into a silky palate of ripe red fruit, subtle earthiness, fine tannins and a long, graceful finish.
