Canti
Canti is a Prosecco brand launched in 2001 by Gianni Martini, second-generation head of Fratelli Martini Secondo Luigi, a family-run Italian wine company founded in 1947. Rather than building a new winery from scratch, the family drew on decades of sparkling winemaking experience to create a label focused specifically on Prosecco. Canti reached the UK market the following year and has since grown into one of the world's best-selling Prosecco brands, sold in more than fifty countries.
Canti's Prosecco is made in the Veneto, in north-eastern Italy, the region most closely associated with the style alongside neighbouring Friuli Venezia Giulia. The wines are produced from Glera grapes using the Charmat method, where secondary fermentation happens in tank rather than bottle, preserving fresh, primary fruit character and an easy-drinking style. Canti's range spans dry Brut and softer Extra Dry styles, reflecting the different levels of sweetness within the Prosecco category.
