AIX
AIX is the flagship rosé of Maison Saint Aix, a Provence estate founded in 2009 by Dutch entrepreneur Eric Kurver on the centuries-old Domaine de la Grande Séouve. Kurver set out to make one of the world's finest rosés, and the estate has built its reputation on that single wine rather than a broad portfolio. The vineyard sits behind the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, high within the appellation, where cooling winds and wide day-to-night swings help preserve freshness in the grapes.
Maison Saint Aix's vineyards sit within the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation, in southern France's Provence region, prized for pale, dry rosé made mostly from Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. AIX follows this classic blend, aiming for a light, elegant style built on delicate red fruit rather than weight or sweetness. Its elevated site and Mediterranean climate, tempered by the Mistral wind, shape the crisp, refreshing style the wine is designed to deliver.
