The fruit comes from old, head-trained vines in Lodi and Amador County, giving the wine plenty of concentration without losing its juicy, mouthwatering shape. Bogle makes this California Zinfandel from a core of fruit carefully handpicked from 60-80-year-old, head-trained vines. The 2023 release opens with raspberry and pink peppercorn aromas, followed by cranberry, red fruit, marionberry pie and baking spice. Twelve months in American oak rounds the generous fruit and adds warmth and seasoning to the finish.
