Brancott Estate Reserve Marlborough Chardonnay 2024
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Brancott Estate Reserve Marlborough Chardonnay is part of a range built to explore some of New Zealand's most distinctive vineyard land, layering intense, vibrant fruit character with a rich, textural mouthfeel. Pale straw with hints of green in the glass, it opens with fresh stonefruit, tropical fruit and citrus notes, carried by a creamy, toasty oak influence that rounds out rather than overwhelms the fruit. The palate is complex and richly textured, built for food - think roast chicken, seared scallops or a good risotto. Made to drink now, it also has the structure to reward a little patience, holding well in the cellar for up to three years.
What the winery says:
Our Reserve range explores the distinctive land and climate of Wairau, Awatere and Hawke's Bay, sourcing the best fruit for a truly exceptional range of wines. This Chardonnay draws primarily from Hawke's Bay vineyards - around two-thirds from coastal sites near the lower Tuki Tuki River, where cooling sea breezes and limestone-influenced soils bring minerality and citrus character, with the remainder from warmer, elevated inland sites along the Tutaikuri and Ngaruroro valleys that lean the fruit toward riper, more tropical flavours.
