Graham Norton's He Devil Malbec 2024
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Graham Norton's He Devil Malbec is a plush, boldly fruited Mendoza red built around blackberry, dark plum and sweet spice, with a rounded texture, silky tannins and a warm, lightly sweet toasty finish. The fruit comes from Northern Mendoza, where Malbec finds the sunshine and dry conditions it loves, while Graham Norton and Invivo's Rob Cameron share the winemaking credits. It is generous rather than shy, but still smooth enough for easy drinking. Pull it out for burgers, smoky sausages or a good steak, particularly when the barbecue is doing the hard work and nobody wants a fussy bottle.
What the winery says:
The 2024 Malbec is sourced from Northern Mendoza, a warm, low-rainfall area of Argentina. The finished wine is 14.5% alcohol with 8g/L residual sugar, sealed under Stelvin and recommended for one to four years of cellaring. Deep purple in colour, it offers sweet spice and plum compote aromas, followed by a generous palate and sweet, toasty finish.
What the experts say:
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, 93/100 Points and 5 Stars (2024)
“It’s splendidly ripe and fragrant on the nose, showing blackberry, dark plum, tapenade, and roasted hazelnut aromas. The palate is equally satisfying with excellent weight, a plump mouthfeel, and silky tannins, making it sturdy yet velvety and lingering. At its best: now to 2030”
