Beach House Hawkes Bay Rosé is a bright, dry Gimblett Gravels blend filled with watermelon, strawberry and juicy red-fruit flavour. Delicate florals and a light touch of raspberry spice add lift, while fresh acidity keeps the palate lively through a clean, mouth-watering finish. Hand-picked Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah give it more flavour and structure than a neutral, barely-there rosé, without losing its easy summer appeal. Pale, polished and highly refreshing, it is a natural fit for grilled prawns, fresh salads, antipasto or a sunny afternoon with good company.

What the winery says:

The fruit was grown at Beach House's Track Vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels and comprises Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. All three varieties were hand-picked and gently pressed to produce a pale Provence-style colour. The winery describes a delicate floral bouquet with watermelon, strawberry and a light sprinkle of raspberry spice, followed by a juicy entry, bright red-fruit flavours and a moreish dry finish. The wine contains 12.5% alcohol, 3 grams per litre of residual sugar and 6.6 grams per litre of total acidity.

What the experts say:

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, 91/100 (2024 Vintage)
“It has a delicate fragrance on the nose, presenting notes of cherry, Gala apple, and lemon peel, followed by a juicy palate that is both linear and lingering. The structure is beautiful, leading to a lengthy, mouth-watering finish. At best: now to 2027.”
