Opawa Sauvignon Blanc is bright, energetic Marlborough Sauvignon with white nectarine, lime zest and passionfruit leading into juicy citrus and tropical fruit. A subtle stony edge adds definition, while crisp acidity keeps the palate focused and refreshingly moreish. Opawa takes its name from Ōpaoa, meaning “smoky river”, whose former riverbed created the free-draining, stone-filled soils beneath the vineyard. Produced by Nautilus Estate with a light-touch approach, this is a very handy match for grilled fish, fresh salads or anything involving sunshine and a second glass.

Pale straw with glimmers of green, the wine opens with lifted aromas of white nectarine, lime zest and passionfruit pulp. Layers of citrus and tropical fruit fill a finely textured palate, with subtle mineral notes adding precision and bright acidity carrying the wine into an elegant, juicy and persistent finish.
