This certified organic Monastrell comes from Bodegas Castaño, a family producer closely associated with the variety in south-eastern Spain. Generous, approachable and particularly food-friendly, it is an excellent red for pizza, grilled lamb, spicy chicken or a hearty vegetable stew.

Made as a young red from organically certified Monastrell vineyards, the wine has a deep cherry-red colour with garnet highlights. The winery describes a clean, expressive nose of red stone fruit, plum, cherry and spice, followed by a structured but soft palate showing ripe fruit, liquorice and velvety tannins. Freshness runs through to a smooth, silky finish. Suggested food matches include tomato-based pizza with savoury cheese, spicy chicken wings, salmon and grilled sardines.
