Te Kano Life Pinot Gris is a bright, flavour-packed Central Otago Pinot Gris with Nashi pear, lychee, lemon zest and green ginger at the fore, backed by tropical fruit and a lively mineral edge. There is a hint of fruit sweetness, but fresh acidity keeps the wine energetic and nicely balanced rather than heavy. Te Kano's Life Series draws on fruit from its estate vineyards to capture a broader expression of Otago, and this 2023 has plenty of aromatic charm and texture. A smart match for pork buns, calamari, lightly spiced Asian dishes or simply a well-chilled glass before dinner.

The 2023 Life Pinot Gris is made as an expression of Te Kano's estate vineyards and the Otago season. The winery describes vibrant aromas of green ginger, lychee, Nashi pear and spice, followed by pear, lemon zest, ginger and tropical fruit on the palate. A touch of fruit sweetness is balanced by defined mineral acidity. The finished wine is 13% alcohol with 5.7 g/L residual sugar, 7.1 g/L total acidity and a pH of 3.31.
