Medici Lambrusco NV

Medici Lambrusco is a sweet, lightly sparkling red from Emilia-Romagna, brimming with ripe berry fruit, grapey freshness and a gentle violet lift. Its fine froth and lively acidity keep the sweetness bright rather than heavy, while the modest 8.5% alcohol makes it an easy bottle to share. Produced by the Medici Ermete family in Reggio Emilia, this is fun, uncomplicated fizz with genuine Italian character. Serve it well chilled with pizza, salty antipasti, spicy dishes or a fruit-based dessert.

Made from Lambrusco Salamino and Lambrusco Marani, this non-vintage Lambrusco DOC has an intense ruby-red colour, a persistent fruity bouquet and a distinctive violet scent. The palate is sweet, fresh, lively and harmoniously balanced, with a fine, rich froth when poured. Medici Ermete recommends serving it at 8 to 10°C and enjoying it young, ideally within one or two years.
