Bohemian The Goldsmith Pinot Noir
Bohemian The Goldsmith Pinot Noir comes from a Dhall and Nash project that isn't a winery or vineyard in the traditional sense, but a collective of New Zealand winemakers each given free rein to make a wine that reflects their own style under the Bohemian name. Alongside labels like The Composer, The Poet and The Author, The Goldsmith is the collective's Central Otago Pinot Noir, made by a hand picked winemaker working in one of the country's most sought after regions for the variety. The result is a wine designed to be approachable early while still carrying real character, an expression of place filtered through one winemaker's own instincts rather than a house style.

What the winery says:
In the glass it's a light red with a garnet core, showing cherry, red currant, lavender and a touch of wild spice on the nose. The palate is fresh, vibrant and elegant, carrying real poise and persistence through to the finish. At thirteen percent alcohol it drinks easily without sacrificing structure, making it as suited to everyday drinking as to something a little more considered.

What the experts say:
Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier (2023 vintage) - 90 points
No mistaking the varietal core scents of dried herbs and savoury earth, followed by red berry fruits, plum, and subtle influences of wood and lees. Dry on the palate, with plenty of texture from tannins and acidity. Well made, with persistent flavours of red berries and spice. Harmonious and ready to drink; best drinking from day of purchase through 2028+
