Made from full-strength Pinot Gris sourced across Marlborough, Waipara and Hawke's Bay, it's then gently coaxed through spinning-cone technology to lift out the alcohol before the delicate aromatics are blended back in. The result is light and aromatic, with white florals, lychee and red apple on the nose, pear and apple through the palate, and a subtle whisper of muscat that leaves it sitting just off-dry. Giesen 0% Pinot Gris starts as a full-strength New Zealand Pinot Gris crafted with the same care as Giesen's traditional wines, before spinning cone technology gently separates out the aroma and then the alcohol. The captured aromatics are blended back into the wine to preserve its varietal character. The result is an off-dry style with delicate white floral, lychee and red apple aromas, pear and apple flavours and a subtle hint of muscat, best matched with fresh seafood or a soft cheese platter.
