Veuve Ambal Methode Traditionnelle Blanc De Blancs Brut NV
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Veuve Ambal Methode Traditionnelle Blanc De Blancs Brut is a bright, dry Burgundian sparkler with fine bubbles and lively flavours of grapefruit, lime and fresh citrus, backed by white flowers and a gently nutty, mineral finish. Chardonnay brings elegance and shape, while Aligoté adds an appetising line of freshness. It is crisp enough for the first toast but has the texture to carry on through the meal. Serve it well chilled with oysters, salmon tartare or scallop carpaccio, or open a bottle whenever an ordinary evening could use considerably more sparkle.
What the winery says:
Veuve Ambal combines Chardonnay and Aligoté from 25-year-old vines grown on clay-limestone soils. The wine has a lightly golden colour, a fruity and floral nose, and a fresh palate showing citrus and lime. The finish brings mineral notes and dried fruit. Serve at 7 to 8°C as an aperitif or alongside fresh oysters, lime-dressed salmon tartare or scallop carpaccio.
