Pyramid Valley North Canterbury ‘On Skins’ Orange is bold, savoury and properly textural, with dried apricot, orange peel and wild florals layered over earthy spice, tea-like grip and a distinctly Campari-like bitterness. Skin contact gives it the structure of a light red, while the aromatic fruit and fresh acidity keep it lively rather than heavy. Part of Pyramid Valley’s naturally minded Colours Collection, this is orange wine with real shape and purpose - brilliant with smoked fish, pork, aromatic dishes or anything that can handle a little extra personality in the glass.

What the winery says:

A multi-variety blend drawn from sustainably farmed vineyards, with the fruit primarily whole-bunch fermented on skins in open-top fermenters. It is then matured across concrete tulipes, clay amphora and seasoned barrels before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Slightly hazy in appearance, the wine combines lifted florals and spice with orange rind, fine tannins and a long, savoury finish.
