Two Paddocks Picnic Riesling 2024
Case Buys Only | 12 x 750ml
Two Paddocks Picnic Riesling is bright, juicy and off-dry, balancing a gentle touch of sweetness with firm, mouth-watering acidity. Green rockmelon, crisp apple, lemon sorbet and white flowers lead into lively citrus, subtle spice and a lingering mineral finish. The fruit is organically grown at Two Paddocks’ Red Bank Vineyard in Alexandra, while the label features the late proprietor Sam Neill’s grandfather, Sydney Neill, who worked as a wine merchant. Fresh, charming and very easy to get along with, this is equally at home beside fragrant Asian food, a sunny lunch or, appropriately enough, a well-stocked picnic basket.
What the winery says:
Grown at the certified-organic Red Bank Vineyard in Earnscleugh, Alexandra, the fruit is harvested by hand and crafted into an approachable off-dry style. The wine combines fresh apple, melon, citrus and floral characters with juicy texture, a whisper of sweetness and bright acidity. The result is refreshing and persistent, with enough balance and character to work just as well at the dinner table as it does outdoors.

“Pristine and delicately lifted, the bouquet shows green rockmelon, Gala apple, lemon sorbet, and white flower aromas.”
