Seresin Chardonnay 2024
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Seresin Chardonnay is an elegant, organically and biodynamically grown Marlborough Chardonnay with ripe orchard fruit, citrus and subtle savoury complexity. Fruit from Seresin’s Raupo Creek Vineyard is fermented naturally in French oak, building a satin-like texture and gentle spice while retaining a fine, focused structure. Bone dry and medium to full bodied, it combines apple and stone fruit with earthy mineral detail rather than relying on overt buttery richness. A composed choice for Chardonnay drinkers who enjoy depth without heaviness, particularly alongside roast chicken, grilled fish, creamy seafood or mushroom dishes.
What the winery says:
The Chardonnay brings together two individual plots and three clones from Seresin’s certified organic and biodynamic Raupo Creek Vineyard. Each clone was hand picked separately in three batches, then whole bunch pressed to tank before being transferred to French oak barriques and puncheons. All parcels underwent wild fermentation and matured in oak for nine months. The finished wine is bone dry and layered, with ripe white-fleshed fruit, citrus, apple and stone fruit supported by peach blossom, fine wood spice, clay-like earthiness and a smooth, creamy texture.
What the experts say:
Cameron Douglas MS, 92/100, Premium (2024 Vintage)
"A bouquet of ripe white fleshed fruits with layers of citrus, peel and pith, then a floral frame of peach blossom."
