Saint Clair Godfrey’s Creek Reserve Gewürztraminer is floral, exotic and confidently full-flavoured, with rose water, lychee and orchard fruit layered over cinnamon, coriander and savoury spice. There is plenty of weight and silky texture through the palate, but a fresh line of acidity keeps all that fragrance and richness neatly composed. The fruit comes from a low-cropping vineyard in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, while the Reserve range represents just the top one percent of Saint Clair’s production. A standout match for smoked salmon, fragrant curries or anything with a little spice of its own.

The grapes are sourced from Saint Clair’s immaculately tended Godfrey’s Creek vineyard in the Wairau Valley and picked during the cool of night at peak flavour. Extended skin contact helps draw out the aromatic character before the juice is cool fermented with selected yeast. Rose water, cinnamon and coriander lead into a weighty, textural palate of lychee and savoury spice, with enough freshness and structure to continue developing in the bottle.
