Giesen 0% Spritz Rose
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Giesen 0% Spritz Rose takes the brand's alcohol-free rose and gives it a lively lift of natural fizz. Made from Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling grown across Marlborough and Waipara, with a splash of Merlot for colour and a whisper of Syrah for lift, it's gently de-alcoholised using Giesen's spinning-cone process before a light spritz is added at bottling. Passionfruit and lime meet strawberry and rose petal on the nose, with a playful, off-dry finish that stays juicy rather than sweet. At just 17 calories per 100ml, it's built for warm afternoons, easy platters, and anyone who wants the ritual of a chilled pink fizz without the alcohol.
What the winery says:
Giesen 0% Rose Spritz begins with Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling parcels fermented separately in cool stainless steel, with a splash of Merlot added at blending for colour and subtle red-berry character. A portion of the finished blend is gently de-alcoholised at low temperature using spinning cone technology, then reintegrated with the full-strength wine before a light spritz is added at bottling. The result is a juicy, off-dry style with passionfruit, lime, strawberry and rose petal character, well matched with a prosciutto and honey burrata pizza.
What the experts say:
Tasting Panel Magazine, 92/100 (NV)
"The nose is redolent of cranberry and strawberry with a fleeting trace of truffle. Lifted and refreshing, the palate offers a welcome burst of yuzu and quince. The textured finish is expressive and vivacious with echoes of creamy lees."
