Fromm Organic Pinot Noir 2023

FROMM Organic Pinot Noir is a finely structured Marlborough Pinot with bright fruit, earthy depth and a distinctly savoury streak. Wild strawberry, dark cherry and damson plum meet dried herbs, rose petals and gentle spice, with fine tannins and fresh acidity pulling everything into a long, focused finish. Fruit is drawn from FROMM’s own vineyard and selected sites across the Waihopai and Brancott Valleys, all farmed organically. Elegant but not delicate, this is a Pinot with enough substance for roast duck, mushroom dishes, venison or a very respectable cheese board.

What the winery says:

Certified-organic grapes are hand-picked from FROMM’s own vineyard and selected Waihopai and Brancott Valley sites. The fruit is almost entirely destemmed while retaining plenty of whole berries, then fermented with wild yeast and given extended time on skins. Maturation takes place in predominantly seasoned French oak, allowing the fruit and savoury character to remain clear. Wild strawberry and bramble lead into loganberry, rosehip and goji berry, supported by firm, finely formed tannins, fresh acidity and subtle notes of woodsmoke and forest floor.
