Main Divide Sauvignon Blanc 2024
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Main Divide Sauvignon Blanc delivers a bright, energetic North Canterbury Sauvignon Blanc with plenty of flavour and a pleasingly serious edge. Grapefruit, passionfruit and citrus blossom lead into lemongrass, crushed thyme and a subtle jalapeno note, while brisk acidity and a steely mineral streak keep everything taut and refreshing. Made by the Pegasus Bay team from South Island fruit, this is a smart alternative to more overtly tropical Sauvignon styles. Crack it open with fresh seafood, goat's cheese, vibrant salads or anything involving green herbs and citrus.
What the winery says:
The grapes came from Main Divide's Te Hau vineyard on Georges Road and a local North Canterbury grower. After being left to reach around 23 Brix, the fruit was gently pressed and the free-run juice fermented cool in stainless steel. Minimal intervention and early bottling were used to preserve the wine's zesty aromas and vibrant fruit. The winery describes grapefruit, lemongrass, jalapeno, passionfruit, citrus blossom and crushed thyme, with lively acidity, a mineral core and a long, mouth-watering finish.
